Updates and a anonymous poster.

Today, I was all so nonchalantly browsing the Permuted Press forums when I recieve my automated email response for comments posted from my journal. A person who placed himself as anonymous, along with the signature of Mike, started bombing my book. Here is what he wrote below.

Hey man, I was all optimistic about reading a book by a 14 year old prodigy! I mean it's cool to see young talent!
But I've gotta say--you're really good at blowing your own horn alot louder than you ever should. I couldn't get past the tenth page before I had to close the book out of sheer dissapointment. The friend I borrowed it from, I thought was being a bit harsh when he started bashing the book. But after looking it over, I have to say I totally agree. What a dissapointment.
On that website, you call yourself a prodigy? I was hoping to see something awsome but you've really got to do alot of work to improve or something. I mean, I'm really sorry but you're not a prodigy by any stretch of the imagination.
I love zombie books but this was grade A crap.
Again, sorry to say, you're really not all as great as you claim to be.
It's not like me to find a place where I can complain to the author personally, but I was really, really dissapointed.

-Mike

Now, here's the problem with his comment. The fact that he just mentioned that he borrowed his book from a friend is completely out of the statement. The first person to order my book (and the first two people to even know that it was out there before I was even broadcasting myself) was my mother and my cousin. Now, they ordered their books last week, and they still haven't arrived yet. So my question is: how could this guy even know about my book? He states that I 'blow my horn' and 'I need to improve.' Now, he also states that I 'call myself a prodigy' when I never said that on my Lulu Storefront. I stated that I've 'been called a prodigy' not that 'I am a prodigy.' It was a good friend John Sunseri who brought up the fact that I was a prodigy for my writing talents. He says that I'm 'Not a prodigy by any stretch of the imagination.'

And this is the part that really ticks me off: 'I love zombie books but this is class A crap.'

Ok, Mike (if you frequented my journal before I posted an update that I had a book out) how could you have recieved the book already when the first two people haven't received their's? Two, there are MANY people who are more puntual then you. You threw yourself off as a non-professional when you put 'a lot' as one word, and everybody knows that a lot is two words.

Sorry to say, Mike, but this is a joke. Your comment isn't going to help degrate the book. I've had PROFESSIONAL AND PUBLISHED WRITERS tell me that Black Darling hooked them. Your comment shall now be used in the name of promoting myself, and you will forever go down as a stupid (and excuse me for saying this) retard who tried to bomb my book but failed horribly.

Thanks for trying to ruin my day; it didn't work.

Aside from that part, I finally finished my short story (which turned into a novella) Wrapped Within Your Web of Love . I need to know your opinions: should I post it on my fictionpress (www.fictionpress.com/~kodyboye) or place this as a short book on www.lulu.com? I'd be more than willing to do one of the other, just whatever you guys want.

Thanks for reading! I started on Pig again, so I'm happy about that.
