Update on new novel, and what it is about

  • Mar. 25th, 2007 at 3:31 AM

Well, for those of you interested/ wanting to know what my new novel I'm writing is, read on fellow crusaders!

Siamese Souls is about a lawyer who ends up dealing with a strange case before it even hits court. The town of Rockport, Texas is struck with a violent attack of teenage suicides that are influenced by a drug that police can't seem to find. One case in particular sticks out though, one that leaves a girl dead with gruesome injuries that are related to a homicide. The only problem with Andrea Fallson's case is that there is no evidence of murder in the room.

So, to sumarize it in a simpler note:

Jordan Elkshire gets a case that he can't udnerstand.

Elkshire's part-time teaching job leaves him in a relationship with a young man that goes far beyond what he expected.

And Elkshire is frightened by the prospect that the case seems to be 'haunting' him, persay.

SS ( Siamese Soul ) has been doing well. Since Monday I've almost written 20K, and within the last Friday and Saturday evening I've written almost 5K, which means that I am almost at 20K. I have a feeling that this will be a novel that people will like, but may also shy away from. The sexual content within the last part that I wrote seemed to spike up a whole lot, more than anything else that I've written. I didn't intend for it to do that, but you know the old saying? Go with the flow. It's not porn or anything, but it was erotic, to say the least.

Ah well, I've already decided that I'm an adult writer, so it doesn't bother me. I'm telling the story that I want to tell, so I'm not worried.

That's my short little update. Also, since March is almost over, I should be hearing about my Permuted novella for the Headshot quartet pretty soon. I'm happy, and I should also be hearing about Fried! any day now.

Now . . . ZE BIG NEWS!

Yes, people, it's time to spill the beans and let loose the mess that will ensue!

If you've been keeping track with all the zombie-related things going on (and I know you have,) you all know about Zombie Fans Talk Radio. Well, if not, then you're obviously not well informed. But that's all right, I'm here to educate all of you on the aspects of very nice radio.

A few days ago, around the time I joined the ZombieFans forums, I recieved a private message from Zombi, one of the people who run the show. Now, keep in mind that I posted on this forum because I wanted exposrue for my book . . .

This is what happened:

Zombie asks, 'Would you feel comfortable going on our radio show?'

And from there, it was set in stone that I am going to have my first official radio broadcast! Yes, yes, people! My first radio broadcast!

I will be talking with Zombi and others on the radio show on March 12th, around 10:00 PM Eastern time. So, ladies and gents, listen in--and if you all so desire--call in to talk with us!

I'm really excited about this, and it's not just because over 3000 people listen to it . . . Ok, that's part of the reason, but still! How awesome is this? I dunno . . . On a scale of one to ten, probably ten! NO! It's eleven, I know that.

So, go here----> http://www.blogtalkradio.com/hostpage.aspx?show_id=14187

This is where you will listen to the radio broadcast on the 12th. You simply just click on the 'play' button and it will come in through your internet, regardless of if you have dial-up connection. (I say that because I have dial-up, and it works just fine.)

Thanks again everybody! I hope you tune in to listen!

No novel updates, since I already posted a journal earlier. ^_^

To refresh all those bad messages . . .

I'll start off by saying that I apologize for anybody I have offended with the rather 'colorful' post I made in regards to the anonymous poster who was--more or less--very rude in his or her post. This is also an apology to those people as well. I just want to tell them (the anonymous posters) this: Why judge my writing when you haven't even read it? The people who have read it said that it was fine, and those people were both non-writers and published writers.

Regardless of the fact, not much else has been going on. I have a friend proofreading my novella Wrapped Within Your Web Of Love and another friend doing a simple cover for it, so it should be out soon . . .

I also have another announcement, but I'm not sure if I can reveal it yet. I'll contact this special person and ask if I can alert you all to a big announcement that's coming up this month for me. So, yeah . . . Watch this journal and you should be able to see what this 'special announcement' is. I'd tell you all here and now, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed to . . .

The only thing I can tell you that it will benefit me VERY much . . .

Pig has hit the 30,000 word limit, which I'm rather disappointed with. I spent a whole week writing Wrapped Within Your Web Of Love , so it took a lot of time out of writing Pig . I had writer's block, so I decided to write a short story . . . I guess that short story turned into a novella, but with good reason. I started writing it because I wanted to draw my attention away from writing a novel with the same type of idea (which I will write) but, as some of you may know from previous posts, I ABSOLUTELY HATE starting more than two things (novels) at once. I already have another waiting, but I have to wait for my aunt to send me notes . . . Since she gave me the idea for it.

Anyway, thanks for reading, and another apology for any I may have offended. I took a bit of my professionalism out of that 'colorful' post, but I'll refrain from that for now on.
