Dakota Travis and Steve Ernest have survived the zombie apocalypse for a whole month.

Forced to travel away from their belovedsafe home when a violent gang makes its presence known, they find shelter in a converted asylum with a group of other soldiers. One of these soldiers, a man by the name of corporal Jamie Marks, fears for their safety when sergeant Brooks starts making irrational decisions and rearranging the chain of command.

Regardless of this small issue, they have more to worry about other than who's in command or whose rank is higher than the other. When the zombies flock to the base and break in through the gate, Dakota is split away from his best friend.

Now, forced to face the reality of not seeing Steve again, he turns to his friend in his time of need.

When the sun rises, the fight for survival is only beginning, especially when a new kind of zombie is just starting to make itself known.
