This is what I posted on the Permuted Press messageboard. You can find more info about the previous updates (and how I came to find out I had one) here: http://permutedpress.com/smf/index.php?t
I posted this:
A very small one, at that.
The MRI doesn't say if it's cancerous, but it's small (very small.) It's located in the area where speach and speach developtment is located. The doctor said that the worst that could possibly happen is that I'd lose speech. He said I wouldn't be myself for a little while ( a few months) after that, lol.
We'll be going to Salt Lake City to have my head cut open and the tumor biopsied.
Just want to let you know that. Two different doctors said that I shouldn't have any problems. It's read on the surface of my brain, so they'll be able to get it out pretty easy.
To relate what's been more commonly asked, it's so small that it doesn't really have any risk. It's located on the top of my brain, on the left side (up in the speech and speech development area.) It's so small that they'll most likely only have to drill a hole the size of a quarter to biopsy, then remove it.
I'll keep you guys updated. I may be going to Salt Lake City Friday, but that's not definite. They haven't called yet.
