For the past week—from Tuesday the fifteenth until Tuesday the twenty-second—I have been thousands of miles away from home in places I never thought I would even begin to visit. I got to see the land where Dorothy went to Oz, pass through the great, if albeit-dark, city of St. Louis, and was able to spend the best four days of my life in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, a place I was very reluctant to leave. I met so many people—so many friends—that have seen me through the darkness and held my hand during the harshest of times, and because of that, I can never repay them for what each and every one of them have done for me.

So, without further ado, here is my recap of Horror Realm 2009, starting with the day I left—Tuesday, September 15th.
